The corpse of left-wing totalitarianism Εκτύπωση

By Dimitris Papageorgiou*
written in Korydallos prison

It has already been over a month since my confinement in prison. The time may not be much. Surery, to my family seems much more. What scares me personally though, is not the duration of my detention. It is an odor. The odor which emerges from the corpse of totalitarianism that seeks to crush anyone who wants to resist the leveling of all those considered 'ours'.

So far, we have the first signs of this process. Those who bear some sort of "title", ministers, consultees, etc, and who, through television, denounce and threaten those who take the opposite view, describing them as "unsociable", and do not hesitate to use the means at their disposal to implement what their obsession requires. Unfortunately, life is not fair. And if these means tomorrow or the day after are not enough, they will not hesitate to get more.

Authority is sitting on a powder keg

I heard about the events of last Wednesday, when police adduced tens of Greek patriots, who did nothing but try to protest against the existing social problem of illegal immigration and the decline of their region. In fact, they continue to keep - as a hostage? - The editor of "The Target" newspaper.

We have plenty of such events. And it seems we will have even more in the future. The country, in response to the crisis, passes a phase of rapid reconfiguration. Social, economic, cultural, and populative. And this remodeling, is fully aligned with the 'New Order', as perceived by the political descendants of the high and mighty  Simitis "modernization".

Alasm they hadn't figured out correctly the tanks of resistance of the Greek people. Even tied hand and foot with bank loans, enslaved to a false claims bliss, the Greeks have lowered neither their heads nor their briefs, accepting their designs. The polls as well as the reactions are proof enough.. A vertical axis crosses the basis of the political arc.

Voters of all parties are opposed to globalization, they see illegal immigration negatively, react to the national retreats and face with condescension the "progressive" intelligentsia that requires all the above.

They sit on a powder keg and they know it. That is why they use totalitarianism. It is the last line of their defense and they know it. It is not the Greek patriots who are the "terrorists", but the system of power of the left wingers. The system that interrelates politicians and the media. Nongovernmental offsets and "more royal than the king himself" leftist organizations. Together they are trying to remove the oxygen from each spark of resistance. They do it because they know that any of these sparks can make the powder-magazine, on which they sit, explode. The fact that they now hunt us, capture us, and put us to prison, means that we do what we must, more effectively and better than before.

Political prisoner: a title of honour in the most corrupt country in Europe

Here lies the personal matter. As a person, as Dimitriw, it is natural to worry that I have  put my family on the spot. On the other hand, as someone who has been fighting for their ideals for some 15 years, I can not but feel honest to myself. Although I am locked in here, I'm happy. Happy, because I still sleep like a bird. Two kinds of people sleep like little birds. Those who have no conscience and those who are okay with their conscience. I believe that I belong to the second category.

I am a political prisoner in the most corrupt country in Europe. What else can that be but a title of honour. I am a political prisoner in the only country in Europe which has a peculiar regime of leftwing-ocracy. Nevertheless, I still resist. My mind is still free.

The only thing I need is the certainty that outside, in our society, there is a movement of resistance, which fills with sparks the everyday life. Some of them will find their target. I am certain.

*Dimitris Papageorgiou is a journalist who writes for a patriotic newspaper, which is considered fascistic by the leftwing-ocracy. He was identified by helmet-wearing radical leftists, who beat him to the point that six stitches  were required  to patch up his head and  was sent to hospital. He has been detained in prison for over a month. His only crime was that he was covering a news story for his newspaper.
